Lower Peirce Reservoir
Above: The clouds and the gentle breeze-induced ripples on the water created this illusion that the rocks were floating on the water - this effect was too much to resist! The frame was captured using a tripod, from very low above the ground at water's edge.
Below: (i) The almost identical frame at midnight and (ii) The reservoir bathed in midnight moonlight.
Above: The positioning of the camera played on the reflections of the trees, and the clouds sitting 'atop' the reflection of the blue sky (that is not visible in the upper portion of the picture). The resultant visual effect is an interesting interplay of reflections.
Above & Below: The two photos were taken when there was a sudden rolling in of clouds and windy gusts, just before a thunderstorm. The hues were quite unusual. These two frames were taken with long shutter speeds that smoothen out the choppy waters.
