Making portraits of family pets is a challenging pursuit in general. The challenge was more as these two gentle giants are part of our own extended family and one of them was particularly stressed by the sight of the camera.

These portraits were taken with a lot of gentleness and love, and the outcome is a result of a great family team effort. They attempt to give a glimpse into the sensitive, thoughtful, pensive and intelligent natures of these special Great Danes who are barely 3 years old.
