Bukit Panjang
Bukit Panjang, meaning 'long hill' in Malay, is a suburban town in western Singapore. Before redevelopment, Kampong (translated: village) Bukit Panjang used to exist in the area. Initially, instead of using the original place name, Bukit Panjang, there were plans to open up the new town using the name Zhenghua. This was derived from Cheng Hwa that used to be a Primary School of that name, that had the most prominent building in the area. However, Bukit Panjang was reinstated because of the unhappiness of the locals who wanted the original name to remain.
These photos reflect the typical early hours of the morning before most residents have awakened.
BELOW: Still in Bukit Panjang, the below 4 frames were shot from the balcony of our home. They capture the 'quietness' of the silhouettes of typical high rise residences against the glow of a fast setting sun. These are classic golden hour photos that blend the harmony of nature with tall buildings.

Pang Sua Pond
This man-made pond is one of 16 stormwater collection ponds; it serves to collect rainwater runoff from the surrounding area and reduce the possibility of flooding during heavy downpours.
It has a 480 metre boardwalk and at the northern edge of the pond, one can see wetland plants, such as the leather fern, fragrant pandan, water canna and miniature Flat Sedge. The plants at the floating wetlands do not only play an aesthetic role, but help improve water quality and encourage biodiversity.
